At the end of the day, whatever decision we make as educators about union membership is the right decision—because it’s our decision.

The US Supreme Court has agreed, but unfortunately, some states and unions are not honoring that decision fully.

Here at Teacher Freedom, we sometimes hear from teachers that try to exercise their First Amendment right and are prevented from doing so. Barriers include everything from strict opt-out windows and pressure from union leaders to delays in processing requests.
