National Survey Data
The survey was sponsored by Teacher Freedom and conducted by Dynata (formerly Survey Sampling International). A sample of 2000 teachers in 22 states were identified and interviewed from March 13 to March 22, 2018. The margin of sampling error for the aggregate results is 2.2%, but is higher for certain subgroups. The survey was conducted in states that permitted agency fees arrangements prior to the Janus v. AFSCME decision.

STATEMENT QUESTIONS
Now you will be shown some statements about the American labor unions that primarily represent teachers and other support personnel, faculty and staffers. For each, please indicate how much you agree or disagree with each statement using a zero-to-ten scale, where a ten means you strongly agree and a zero means you do not agree at all. You can use any number from zero to ten, the higher the number, the more you agree with the statement. If you are neutral on a question or don't know how strongly you feel, just select a five on the zero-to-ten scale.
I DISAGREE WITH MANY OF THE UNION'S POLICIES, BUT I DON'T WANT TO OFFEND MY COLLEAGUES WHO SUPPORT THE UNION BY SPEAKING OUT.

IN 21 STATES, TEACHERS ARE REQUIRED TO PAY FEES THAT SUPPORT THE TEACHERS' UNION, EVEN IF THEY AREN'T MEMBERS. I AGREE THAT A TEACHER SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO PAY UNION FEES AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT EVEN IF THEY DON'T WANT TO BE A MEMBER.
